Biography

Robert was born and raised in Lenawee County in the small town Tecumseh Michigan. There he participated in Arts from an early age. Later, Robert wanted to expand his world and left Siena Heights College in Adrian Michigan to attend school at Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo. There he finished his Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts. After getting his fashion makeup certification, Robert soon began to look west toward California. He finally ended up at Cal State Long Beach where he received his Master’s degree in Makeup, Mask and Wig making.

Robert has lectured, taught and given his time to speak to Colleges and Universities. He attributes his success to his beginnings at Siena and his education from WMU and Cal State Long Beach. When asked what kind of makeup he does he likes to say,” I do beauties to beasts and glamour to gore, plus more.” Robert feels any well-educated makeup artist should be able to handle the challenge of the job they take. He feels by being well rounded in his craft he can pretty much do what ever is asked of him, “That is the true nature of a well rounded and educated Makeup artist.”
